Riding lawnmowers are certainly an easy and efficient way to mow your lawn, however, more so with riding lawn mowers than ordinary lawn mowers, you need to learn how to use them safely and effectively, seeing that over 70,000 Americans alone were injured in riding lawn mower accidents during last year. Riding lawnmowers can hurt both adults and children easily if proper care is not taken.

Young children are also permitted to ride on the adult's laps while they cut the lawn. Needless to say, having young passengers riding aboard the mowers, there is always a chance for them to fall off and land underneath the blades with fatal consequences.

Always make sure that the yard is free from loose objects like sticks and rocks as well as children's toys and other objects when using riding mowers as well as traditional power mowers to prevent injury to the eyes and face.
